On the Ides of March, 44 B.C.E, Gaius Julius Caesar was meant to be assassinated in a plot led by Marcus Brutus and Cassius Longinus. Unable to murder his closest friend, Marcus Brutus helps Gaius overcome the conspirators.
Now they are free to realise Gaius’ ambition of following Alexander into the East. The Parthian Empire awaits him. But conspirators Cassius and Decimus are still at large, the kingdom of Dacia stands between him and Parthia, and to the south the discontented son of Pompey the Great raises a pirate fleet to take his head. But Gaius’ ambition knows no limits, and he is determined to get to Parthia before winter. And he will kill anyone who tries to oppose him.
